Welcome to the website of Timperley Probus Club. We are a group of retired and semi retired professional and businessmen who meet on alternate Wednesday mornings. We have met for several years at Branksome
Hall,Clay Lane, Timperley but now due to its redevelopment we have moved, hopefully on a temporary basis, further down Clay Lane to Bowdon Rugby Club WA15 7AF. We hope to be back at Branksome Hall towards the end of August.
We
meet at 10.00 for 10.30 for Coffee and Biscuits and after a chance to socialise there is a talk by an invited speaker at 10.30 am. This normally lasts about an hour after which there is time for questions. The talks cover a wide variety of interesting subjects
and topics as you can see from the list of past talks on the speakers page.
We have a Genealogy group of members. Some have a wide experience and will help those who are about to start researching their family history.
We
have a walking group that meets on alternate Wednesdays for a trek of around 3-5 miles, followed by a lunch at a suitable venue.
On Monday and Thursday mornings members play bowls in the summer and snooker in the winter
There are organised visits to many places of interest over the year and there are three lunches/dinners each year, all are available to members partners and friends.
We welcome new members and if you
would like to come to a meeting as our guest without charge or obligation then you are welcome to do so for the first two meetings. If you are interested please contact the club secretary David Owen on 0161 973 9648 or via email at dglentonowen@gmail.com
